The ImmunoHUB project team invites you to attend the first ImmunoHUB annual meeting on March 17th, at i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde.

About the event

In the context of the celebrations of World Immunology Day, the first ImmunoHUB annual meeting will bring together national and international renowned scientists including professor Alan Sher (NIH- National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases; USA), Dr. Jean-Pierre Gorvel (Centre d’Immunologie Marseille-Luminy, FR) and Professor Ana Espada de Sousa (iMM-Instituto de Medicina Molecular João Lobo Antunes, PT) to discuss cutting-edge research. The main topic for this year’s event will be Infection and Immunity.   

The ImmunoHUB annual meeting will provide an excellent opportunity for junior researchers to present their work to distinguished leaders in the field through oral presentations and poster sessions chosen from submitted abstracts. Will be a timely and unique event to foster discussion and networking among the immunology research community.

Abstract submission

The call for abstracts will be open until 15 February. The abstract will be evaluated and selected either for oral communication (12 minutes each followed by up to 3 minute-discussion) or poster communication.

About the event organizer

The central goal of the ImmunoHUB proposal is to develop an international platform of excellence and innovation in the field of Immunology in Porto, Portugal.

The ImmunoHUB action will (1) project Immunology at IBMC-i3S towards the forefront of basic and translational biomedical research, (2) provide knowledge of fundamental and economical value, (3) promote the finest academic practices to train the next generation of Immunologists and (4) widen public awareness for the importance of Immunology.

Several science dissemination events are being organized for the research community to discuss innovative and revolutionary discoveries. With these actions we aim to raise the i3s position in the global roadmap of Immunology and foster the dissemination of the produced scientific knowledge and the development of the institute’s critical mass for research and excellence.
