Last Friday, 24th November, at the Faculty of Sciences – University of Beira Interior, was inaugurated the “Alumni Science Wall of Fame”, to honor its former students.
The mural is intended to recognize previous FC-UBI students who have excelled in scientific, intellectual, and/or societal endeavors.
This first edition honored several important names of science, including Pedro Moura Alves, group leader researcher and ERA Chair Holder (ImmunoHub) at i3S, Porto; and Pedro Pombo, director of Fábrica Centro Ciência Viva de Aveiro.
The inauguration was attended by the Rector of UBI, Mário Raposo, the Vice-Rector for Teaching, Academic Affairs and Employability, Helena Alves; the President of FC, Paulo Almeida; the President of the Association of Former University Students of Beira Interior (AUBI), Pedro Bernardo, and the UBI Student Ombudsman, Afonso Gomes.
