At the 16th edition of the IJUP – “Youth Research Meeting of the University of Porto”, which took place from the 10th to the 12th of May – students who are carrying out research at i3S had the opportunity to show their projects and represent themselves by winning several distinctions in the areas of Health Sciences and Biological Sciences.
Considered one of the biggest national scientific events dedicated to young researchers, the IJUP had more than 1200 students enrolled this year, of which 779 had the opportunity to share their work in oral communication (359) and poster (420) format. These numbers constitute a new record for the event, surpassing the values recorded in the 2021 edition, held in an entirely online format.
In these three days in which we sought to discover the best young research produced at the University of Porto, 15 young i3sS researchers were distinguished. Inês Castro Almeida (Immune Sensing & Signaling) had one of the best oral presentation (Health Sciences).
