On October 28th we received professor Stefan H.E. Kaufmann as a speaker in our i3S Friday Noon Seminar.
Professor Kaufmann was the Founding Director of the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology in Berlin and head of the Department of Immunology. His scientific interests include Immune response against bacterial pathogens with a focus on Tuberculosis and the rational development of vaccines and biosignatures.
He is also involved in the development of a tuberculosis vaccine. The seminar was also broadcasted to several national and international research institutes. Furthemore, professor Kaufmann also gave a mentoring session to around 20 postdocs and PhD students.
